Louisiana Land Bank Hosts 2026 Young Producers Meeting

Louisiana Land Bank hosted its 2026 Young Producers Meeting on October 1 at the Louisiana State Emergency Shelter on the LSU–Alexandria campus, bringing together young agricultural producers for a day focused on the opportunities and challenges facing today’s farming operations.

Attendees heard from industry professionals on a variety of topics important to producers, including commodity and livestock outlooks, marketing strategies, risk management, crop insurance, and agricultural lending.
Featured speakers included Dr. Michael Deliberto of the LSU AgCenter; David Hurley of Hurley Associates; John Majure, Vice President of Crop Insurance at Louisiana Land Bank; and Brian Turner, Chief Credit Officer at Louisiana Land Bank.

The meeting provided producers with practical information and perspectives designed to help them make informed decisions, manage risk, and strengthen their operations.
